Tawny is a 3-year-old cow who comes with a stacked pedigree. She is out of Rurally Screwed and the late Poco Puff. Her maternal grand sire is Ringleader and her paternal grand sire is JP Rio Grande. Those two and her sire are three of the best bulls in the industry. Other great bulls in her pedigree include Jet Black Chex and Working Man Chex. On her dam’s side she goes all the way back to Poco Dot who has helped produce some of the best cows the Freeman + Jarnagin Partnership have. On her sire’s side, Tawny goes back to Poco Lady BL who is the dam of Lady Monika BL which are two well-known cows in the industry. We are retaining Tawny’s 2023 heifer calf as a replacement. This calf is out of Gaston who was over 80” at 26 months. Tawny will come to the Horn Showcase bred to the first true black bull in the industry to reach 90” TTT – Lightning In A Bottle. Lightning In A Bottle is the sire to Gaston. Tawny is one cow you do not want to overlook!
